M6 Platform Powering Month over Month Mobile PBX Sales Growth in the UK

December 19, 2007, Plano, TX - GENBAND Inc., a market-leading developer of next-generation IP gateways and application solutions, today announced that the GENBAND M6 Communication Applications ServerTM has been deployed by UK-based BNS Telecom Group PLC to provide mobile PBX and PBX trunking services.

BNS is using the M6 platform to integrate mobile services with legacy PBXs and provide hosted enterprise services in the UK. This is allowing them to meet growing market demand for mobile integration caused by high international roaming charges. As an alternative to international roaming, BNS is deploying their voice over Wi-Fi service, branded WiDial, allowing users to make mobile phone calls across wireless broadband networks when in Wi-Fi hotspot areas, such as the London metropolitan Wi-Fi MESH network. In an effort to find innovative ways to differentiate the combined GENBAND/BNS services and applications, BNS is white-labeling their Vodaphone mobile integrated services to local Chamber of Commerce members. The cost savings of this service for these members is more than enough to pay for their monthly dues.
