SBC 1000 Gateway
An Affordable Option to Extend the Life of Legacy Equipment
The SBC 1000 Gateway (learn more about the full SBC 1000 here) provides small and medium-sized businesses with cost-effective path to connect legacy PBXs or analog devices to SIP trunks. It’s ideal for deployment in locations where traditional analog, BRI or PRI are being phased out by local telecom providers and the organization seeks to retain existing equipment that won’t support IP-based services. Since SIP trunks are also lower cost, The SBC 1000 Gateway can reduce the cost of monthly telecom services, often paying for itself in months.
The SBC 1000 Gateway is a low-cost, complementary offering to Ribbon’s full-featured SBC 1000 offering. It only provides gateway services (SIP to TDM/analog). It can easily be upgraded, via a license key, to deliver the full complement of the SBC 1000’s session border control services. This assures full investment protection when the organization migrates to a newer IP-PBX or adopts a cloud UC service like Microsoft Teams, Zoom Phone, Ring Central, etc.
The SBC 1000 Gateway supports any-to-any connectivity between FXS, FXO, BRI, PRI, and SIP endpoints or devices. The Ribbon SBC 1000 Gateway also features a wide range of I/O and call capacities as well as built-in survivability for TDM, FXx, and SIP devices, so calls go through even if the wide area network (WAN) goes down.
