GENBAND Announces Leadership Team to Support Growth Strategy
July 10, 2007, Plano, TX - GENBAND™ Inc., a market-leading developer of next-generation IP gateways and application solutions, today announced senior management changes designed to strengthen the Company’s leadership team, drive global operational excellence and position GENBAND for the future. Charles Vogt, president and chief executive officer (CEO), will continue to drive the strategic direction of the Company while dedicating new senior executive talent to GENBAND’s global operations and related functions.
Jan Gaulding, appointed to her role in August 2005, will continue as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Gaulding has an extensive track record in building successful financial organizations, experience in SEC compliance, and her completion of over 27 mergers and acquisitions with a career span of over 35 years.
Keith Landau has been appointed to executive vice president, Research & Development. Landau brings wide-ranging industry experience spanning over 25 years of telecommunication and data communications. Prior to GENBAND, Landau was in charge of engineering in the Tekelec Switching Solutions Group. Prior to Tekelec, Landau held numerous business and R&D leadership positions in his 21 years at Nortel Networks.
Pablo Gargiulo has been appointed to executive vice president, Operations. Gargiulo, a 25-year accomplished business veteran, leads the world-class product manufacturing and support at GENBAND. Before joining GENBAND, Gargiulo held the positions of Vice President of Customer Services for switching worldwide, Vice President of Customer Operations CALA for all Tekelec's portfolio and recently, Vice President of Business Operations for the Communications Software Solutions Group.
Jim Odom is appointed to executive vice president, Information Service and Quality. Odom joined GENBAND in November of 1999 and has led the professional services strategy, focus, and implementation for the company. Odom came to GENBAND following a 20-year career with Motorola, where he held several leadership positions in the area of telecommunications IC development.
Bethe Strickland has been appointed to executive vice president, North America Sales and Marketing. Strickland is a 20 year senior telecommunications executive with a broad range of experience. Before joining GENBAND, Strickland held a wide range of leadership positions, both founding and running several successful companies. As an early stage employee at ADTRAN, Strickland helped build the business and led all sales efforts for the company. Earlier in Strickland’s career, she held executive sales positions with Motorola, General Data Comm (GDC), and Paradyne Corporation.
Ron Halpern has been appointed to executive vice president, International Sales. Halpern is an accomplished veteran of the telecommunications and software industry, with 19 years of experience spanning executive sales, marketing and operations roles. Prior to GENBAND, Halpern held a senior management role at Amdocs as Vice President and Client Business Executive.
