GENBAND CTO to Participate on Two Panels at the ATIS TechThink Technology Conference

June 16, 2008, Plano, TX - GENBAND Inc., a market-leading developer of next-generation IP gateways and application solutions, today announced that Chief Technology Officer, Fred Kemmerer will speak on network convergence at the ATIS TechThink Technology Conference this week at NXTcomm 2008.  During two sessions, Kemmerer, along with other thought leaders from companies such as Alcatel-Lucent, Cisco, Microsoft and Nokia Siemens Networks, will offer their views on what the future holds for services delivered any time, anywhere, via any access technology.

This year’s ATIS TechThink Technology Conference brings together key players and leaders in the communications industry to discuss and debate cutting-edge topics and key trends during 18 sessions divided into three knowledge tracks:  IPTV, Home Networking and Convergence.  Kemmerer will participate in two separate panels that will explore the future direction of network convergence.  The first session, “Full-Scale Convergence:  What Does it Look Like and How Do We Get There?” takes place Tuesday, June 17 from 1:00 -2:15 p.m.  The second, “The Road to Network Convergence” follows from 2:30 - 3:45 p.m.
