December 17, 2009, Plano, TX – GENBAND Inc., a market-leading developer of next-generation IP infrastructure solutions, today announced that it has named Patrick Dolan as Senior Vice President of Sales, reporting to Pablo Gargiulo and responsible for direct sales in Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) and Asia Pacific markets. Mr. Dolan joins GENBAND from Tellabs where he spent over 16 years in senior sales, service and marketing positions across the globe.

GENBAND retains a strong market position in the EMEA and Asia Pacific markets with its best-in-class IP gateway and SBC solutions and has recently seen significant new uptake and potential for its innovative products in these regions. This is driven by numerous factors including the growing global demand for interconnection and peering of IP traffic at the borders between networks, as well as security and mediation requirements of Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) technologies such as femtocells. GENBAND currently participates in multiple femtocell/FMC trials and recently announced the deployment of its products in the first live femtocell network in France.

At Tellabs, Mr. Dolan was most recently Vice President and General Manager for EMEA where he successfully worked with major tier 1 service providers in both fixed and mobile environments. He previously was Regional Sales Director of Nordics and Eastern Europe, working closely with Tellabs’ OEM partners including Ericsson and Nokia. Mr. Dolan holds a Degree in Electronic Engineering from Dublin City University.
