Introduced to the market in early 2001, the G6 Universal Media Gateway has evolved to meet the ever-changing demands of a variety of service providers needing to migrate from Class 5 network infrastructures to softswitch-controlled networks. GENBAND’s G6 customers range from the largest North American incumbent service providers to independent telephone companies, and large and small competitive and cable service providers across the globe.
