Leading Enterprise Network Service Provider in Japan Chooses Sonus Network Border Switch for Secure Session Border Control And SIP Trunking Interconnect

WESTFORD, MA, April 22, 2010 – Sonus Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: SONS), providing network transformation through IP communications technology, today announced that KVH Co. Ltd, a leading provider of network and managed IT services in Japan, has chosen Sonus to deliver and expand its core IP voice network and secure SIP trunking to IP-PBXs. The Sonus solution will offer scalable border security for IP connectivity as well as leverage the Sonus platform’s centralized routing and diverse media support to better manage the hosted enterprise traffic using the KVH network.

KVH serves the IT infrastructure and connectivity needs of financial services and major enterprises across Japan and has expanded geographic reach to key financial cities such as Hong Kong and Singapore to address the mission critical needs of the financial community. In addition, KVH is strengthening its global service capabilities by seamlessly leveraging its partners’ backbone and local access provider networks.
