WHAT:
Sonus Networks, Inc., a global leader in enabling and securing real-time communications, today announced that Sonus’ Vice President of Global Channels Joe McLaughlin was named a CRN 2015 Channel Chief. The 2015 CRN Channel Chiefs is a list of the most influential leaders in the IT Channel, recognizing executives responsible for driving Channel sales and growth within their organization, while evangelizing and spearheading the importance of the Channel throughout the IT Industry. WHO:
McLaughlin joined Sonus in 2012 and was responsible for overseeing the launch of Sonus Partner Assure.  Sonus Partner Assure is designed to provide resellers of service providers and enterprises communications solutions with a comprehensive, yet turnkey program to sell Channel-ready Sonus products and services. McLaughlin is focused on creating profitable and compelling offers for the Sonus channel, and increasing company relevance with the most influential partners and distributors in the Unified Communications market.

Prior to Sonus, McLaughlin served as vice president of Channel and partner sales in the Americas at Novell Inc., a role where he helped launch its Channel partner program and lead sales efforts that resulted in more than $250 million in revenue. He also held senior sales and Channel roles with BMC Corporation, Open Text Corporation and Lotus/IBM. McLaughlin resides in Atlanta, GA.
