Infonetics Research Names Sonus Market Share Leader in High Density and Total Gateway Markets

WESTFORD, Mass., May 30, 2007 – Sonus Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: SONS), a leading supplier of service provider Voice over IP (VoIP) infrastructure solutions, announced today that Infonetics Research, a leading independent industry research firm, has named Sonus Networks the market share leader in several segments of the IP-based voice market for Q1 2007 in its "Service Provider Next Generation Voice and IMS Equipment Market Forecast." Sonus leads both the total gateway and high density gateway markets worldwide, as well as in North America.

According to the report, Sonus led the total gateway market with 20% market share worldwide and 36% in North America, double its closest competitor. In the high density gateway market, Sonus led with 26% market share worldwide and 45% in North America, more than triple its closest competitor. In addition, Sonus continued to grow its position in EMEA, increasing its market share over 200% and 250% in the total gateway and high density gateway markets, respectively.
