Industry Leader Demonstrates Video Sharing on Next-Generation Mobile Networks at CTIA Wireless 2008

Westford, MA., And Las Vegas, NV., April 3, 2008 – At CTIA Wireless 2008, Sonus Networks (Nasdaq: SONS), a market leader in IP communications infrastructure, is inviting attendees to visit the Sonus Networks' stand for a real-time demonstration of how video sharing can open up new opportunities for consumers to stay in touch and provide new revenue streams for mobile operators.

The explosion of social networking in the last few years has shown the desire and driven the innovation that allows us to share experiences with friends and family as soon as they happen. This is accelerating the need for high bandwidth, reliable services that are always available, and cost effective to the carrier. Mobile operators are taking advantage of the opportunities presented by the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) organization for fourth generation network architectures (4G), which provides for the universal delivery of video and community-based mobile collaboration.

Sonus Networks is showing operators how, in an all-IP mobile environment such as Long Term Evolution (LTE), Sonus' technology will enable a future where consumers can use their mobile handsets to share video in real-time. • "See What I See" video sharing - In real time, users are able to make a voice call, and then start to stream video images they are capturing on their phone and send it to their friends. The recipient "sees what the caller is seeing" for example at a sports event or a child's recital
• Video Exchange – Send a link to your videos to all your friends. Your buddies can be notified and watch your videos on their mobile devices or computer
• Group Movie – Join your friends at the cinema – anywhere in the world. Users can schedule a "movie event" based on movies that are available on the Video-On-Demand Server. Send an event notification to your friends and they can start watching the movie together and chat on IM at the same time
