Sonus Networks Showcases the Future of SIP Network Communication at Connexions2011

"Solution Center” Demonstrations to Highlight Innovative Technology for Session Border Control, Access, Centralized Policy Control and More

WESTFORD, Mass., October 11, 2011 – Sonus Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: SONS), a market leader in next-generation IP-based network solutions , today announced that it will host live demonstrations of its latest SIP-based technology products and concepts at Connexions2011 . The demonstrations will take place in the Solution Center during the company's annual customer and partner meeting, which is sponsored by platinum sponsors HP and Iperia, as well as Agnity and Empirix from October 17-20, 2011, at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, Florida.

The Solution Center at Connexions2011 will offer attendees an interactive and multimedia experience that highlights both established and new products from the company's SBC, access and policy portfolios. Platinum sponsors HP and Iperia will also demonstrate their own products and show the benefits of deploying combined solutions.

Demonstrations that will be presented at Connexions2011 include:

  • The Next Generation of Session Border Controllers (SBCs) – A live demonstration of the industry's first networked SBC, the NBS5200TM , featuring built-in media transcoding and a unique high-performance architecture to empower the SIP sessions of tomorrow
  • Number Portability – A demonstration of the Sonus PSX Centralized Route Server acting as a localized number portability server that can dramatically reduce network costs
  • IP Network Analytics – A real-world demonstration of Sonus' Network Analytics Suite (NetAssure, NetEng, NetScore), which provides the network intelligence needed to identify trends and preserve network QoS and QoE, even across globally deployed networks
  • OTT Gateway – A demonstration of the ASX Feature Server handling calls between a network-hosted ASX user and an externally hosted Skype user to facilitate two-sided monetization in carrier networks

The Connexions2011 Solution Center will also feature demonstrations on IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), Long Term Evolution (LTE), GSMA's IP eXchange (IPX), High Definition (HD) voice, DIAMETER routing and video calls. Registration for Connexions2011 is open to Sonus Networks customers, prospective customers and partners.
