As one of the first innovators in cloud communications technology, Ribbon is doubling down on our investment in cloud-based solutions that enable and fuel creative new channels for our customers to improve their communications experience by leveraging our secure, reliable real-time communications services.

We are continuing to optimize our virtual products designed with and for the telecommunications industry, including making our SBC SWe available on the AWS Marketplace, and as an AWS Quick Start.

In addition to extending our relationship with Amazon, our breakthrough solutions are also available on other leading public clouds including Microsoft Azure, and can be deployed in private NFV and hybrid cloud environments.

This week we announced that our market-leading virtual Session Border Controller Software edition (SBC SWe), which was already deployed on AWS, is now available on AWS Marketplace and AWS Quick Starts.

This collaboration was driven by AWS solutions architects and Ribbon, working together and leveraging AWS best practices for security and high availability to help customers quickly and easily deploy Ribbon’s SBC SWe on AWS.

After years of deploying multiple customers and successfully scaling up production traffic on AWS, this formal launch of our SBC SWe on AWS Marketplace and AWS Quick Starts is another significant milestone.

The expansion of our relationship with AWS means our customers now have two additional simplified, convenient methods to rapidly access, test and deploy the Ribbon SBC SWe.

The Ribbon SBC SWe has been optimized for AWS to provide advanced security, unparalleled media capacity, rich policy and interworking for real-time, multimedia Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) traffic.

With proven, carrier-class redundancy coupled with our industry-leading media transcoding capabilities, we enable transcoding at scale on CPUs and industry first transcoding at hyper-scale on GPUs.

Because this solution is also certified for Microsoft Phone System Direct Routing, Skype for Business, Lync 2013 and Lync 2010, our service provider and enterprise customers can improve the delivery of some of their most popular collaboration applications.

This latest expansion of our offerings on the AWS Marketplace and AWS Quick Starts are examples of our growth strategy and investment in the cloud, as more and more enterprises seek to move their voice edge into cloud environments.

Our customers are increasingly moving their network functions to the cloud, whether it is to gain efficiencies of scale, to be more agile in their ability to deliver services faster to their customers, or to quickly extend their service reach.

We understand that some customers want to leverage the public cloud, while others want to leverage the private cloud, and some may want to deliver their services in a hybrid fashion.

We architected our portfolio accordingly, to support our customers, regardless of the path they choose and are fully committed to continually investing in innovative, best-in-class software-based solutions that will help our customers deliver secure, real-time, on demand, next-generation communications services in any cloud environment.
