Ribbon’s Marketing Execs Gear Up for a Busy Channel Partners 2019 Conference

April 8th, 2019

Ribbon’s Senior Vice President of Global Marketing, Bita Milanian, and Senior Vice President of Channel Marketing, John Macario, recently took a few minutes to discuss their expectations for the upcoming Channel Partner’s Conference and Expo, taking place April 9 -12 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, and the company’s presence at the show.

How long have you been attending Channel Partners and how has it changed over the years?

Bita: I have been attending Channel Partners for well over a decade. Each year the show gets bigger and more diverse with new companies showing up that have not had a presence at the show in previous years. Channel Partners is a great venue to catch up with old friends, colleagues and acquaintances and meet new ones through the various networking opportunities that are available at the show.

John: I have attended Channel Partners since 2007, but have not been able to be there the last couple of years. It is amazing to see how the show continues to grow. I see some of the same faces that I saw years ago and it really is a great opportunity to hear from some of the leading decision makers on topics that are driving change in the channel such as the migration to the cloud and new technology enhancements and innovations.

What does Ribbon’s presence at the show look like this year?

Bita: I am excited for us to be exhibiting for the first time at the show and highlighting our channel solutions – so if you are attending the show please stop by for a demo at booth #1761.  We will be serving refreshments daily and look forward to catching up with old and new friends.

John: We will be featuring our Cloud UC & APIs, Direct Routing for Microsoft Teams, and our Network Edge portfolio for UCaaS. These solutions are all playing key roles in helping our partners differentiate their offerings in a hyper-competitive, rapidly growing UCaaS market. We are really looking forward to highlighting our channel partner-focused solutions and numerous success stories at the industry’s largest annual event.

What are you most looking forward to at Channel Partners?

Bita: I have been a long-time member and former Board member of the Alliance of Channel Women, so I am looking forward to attending their networking event. It will be exciting to hear how some of the most powerful women in our industry are helping drive the change and disruption that we see happening all around us as we work together to bridge the gender gap.

John: I am really looking forward to meeting our partners face-to-face. With the breadth of the Ribbon portfolio, we have so many ways to help our partners succeed.  The show will be a great opportunity to introduce new products into the channel and learn what Ribbon can do to help partners grow. And, of course, catching up with old colleagues and friends.
