Kubernetes is an open source container orchestrator. It automates the lifecycle of containerized applications. A Kubernetes cluster is a set of applications (or workloads) that run in their own containers, usually on different machines. Clustered, distributed applications run across multiple machines, eliminating a single point of failure.
Through a number of timely and complementary initiatives across IT and cloud computing infrastructure, Kubernetes has become the de-facto operating system of the cloud. Kubernetes is used to orchestrate Ribbon’s cloud native session border controller (SBC CNe) and cloud native policy & routing server (PSX CNe)
