Reflecting on Ribbon’s 2024 Global Day of Service

July 9th, 2024

Ribbon Day is a cornerstone of our company culture, reflecting our commitment to giving back to the communities we live and work in.  It’s also an opportunity for us to connect and make a difference.

Every year I anticipate how many of our employees will make the time to get involved, and I’m thrilled to report that we saw an unprecedented level of participation this year.  A remarkable 1,290 employees from 24 countries and 34 sites came together and contributed more than 4,753 volunteer hours of their time and energy.

These volunteers made a tangible difference by supporting more than 34 non-profit organizations around the world (see below), ranging from local community centers to international aid organizations, as well as individually designed efforts. It’s always thrilling to see the many types of activities included. This year they ranged from environmental clean-ups to educational programs, acts of service to health and wellness initiatives and many more, each contributing to a larger goal of creating positive change.

As always, I want to extend a huge thank you to all our volunteers for their hard work and dedication, and offer a special shout out to the Engagement Committee team members who coordinated many of these activities. Your efforts were crucial to the overall success of this year’s day of service.

Ribbon Day also provides us with the opportunity to strengthen the bonds within our own community – no matter how globally dispersed, we enjoyed a shared experience with each other. Thank you again for your generosity. Let’s keep the momentum going and continue to make a difference, one act of kindness at a time.
