April 24th, 2019

Ribbon will be hosting the seventh edition of its annual customer and partner summit when it kicks off Perspectives19 on April 28th in Washington D.C. Patrick Joggerst, Ribbon’s Chief Marketing Officer, and Bita Milanian, the company’s Senior Vice President of Global Marketing, recently took a few minutes to discuss what attendees can expect, the hot topics that will be discussed and what they are most looking forward to at Perespectives19.

What can attendees expect from this year’s edition of Perspectives?

Bita: We work practically year-round to make sure that Perspectives provides our attendees with a unique experience and content that they can’t get at other industry event, conference or tradeshow. From the numerous networking opportunities, to the Monday activities, to the content of the general sessions to the closing night’s entertainment, we try to make each Perspectives better than the previous year’s event and I am confident with everything we have planned, we will achieve that objective.

Patrick: Attendees can expect to have fun with all of the great activities we have planned; be educated with the incredible speakers and sessions; and entertained with the amazing program that we have put together.

What are some of the key topics that will be discussed at Perspectives19?

Bita:  Being in our nation’s capital this year and so close to many of our partners who call D.C. and the surrounding areas home, we will be highlighting some of the great work by our federal team in helping transform the Department of Defense and other agencies’ communications infrastructure to next-generation technology.

Patrick:  We have assembled a great line-up of speakers who will be providing their perspectives on a range of topics that are driving our industry such as 5G, Security and Analytics, Digital Transformation and Enterprise Communications and Regulatory issues such as how the FCC is addressing the robocalling epidemic. We also have some great breakout sessions for our service provider and enterprise customers as well as our channel partners.

If you had one takeaway that you wanted attendees to leave Perspectives19 with what would it be?

Bita: I hope that attendees leave the conference feeling that the time invested with us was well worth it and are already excited about our next year’s conference.

Patrick: I hope that attendees leave Perspectives with more knowledge and a better understanding of how we can all work together to help each other successfully navigate through the amazing transformation that we are all in the midst of.

Is there anything different attendees can expect from this year’s event?

Bita: We continually strive to improve Perspectives based on feedback from attendees, key learnings and trying new and innovative things. This year we will be live streaming video interviews with our  customers, partners and speakers during the Solutions Showcase hours (Tuesday, April 30, 12 pm – 2 pm and Wednesday, May 1, 12 pm - 5 pm). I will be kicking off Tuesday’s segment with one of our lead sponsors, Yealink. The live steam will be available at Perspectives19.com/livestream.

Patrick Joggerst: This year I am pleased to take part in our first Fire Side Chat during the general session. I will be speaking with Rick Qualman from IBM, one of our strategic partners with whom we have closely worked for several years and Jay Gertsner, representing our long time customer Charter. It should be a great discussion and I am really looking forward to it.

What about Perspectives19 are you most looking forward to?

Bita: I am looking forward to making sure that our customers and partners from all over the world have a great time of fun and learning, while networking and showing off their latest innovations to a very captive, intimate audience. I am also looking forward to the great entertainment that we have lined up including one of my favorite artists, Taylor Dayne. She is going to put on a great show and is the perfect way to wrap up what is going to be an amazing week. Don’t forget to follow the conversation at #RBBNP19!

Patrick: I am looking forward to hosting Perspectives for the first time in my hometown. It is going to be a great week for our customers and partners.
