In a world where everybody and everything can be connected, when machines and humans can interact in an exponential variety of ways, the opportunity to understand behavior better and serve up more useful and entertaining experiences is becoming the real, real-time communications game.
On August 14 I get to participate in one of my favorite events as a professional woman. The 12th Women in the Channel (WiC) Networking and Enrichment Event is taking place from 5 – 8 pm during the Channel Partners Evolution Conference & Expo at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Washington, D.C.
Back in early nineties, straight out of college, I began working on Wall Street building trading floor technology and trying to keep up with the growth of the public markets and innovation in platforms. In my early twenties, I was charged with engineering and evolving sophisticated trader voice applications, connecting thousands of participants – buyers, sellers, brokers, banks and, of course, exchanges.
MWC is probably the largest and most important mobile conference in the industry and I can’t tell you how excited I am to get what is going to be an awesome week under way. We have a great show planned with tons of customer and partner meetings and briefings with media and analysts from all over the world. We also have some strategic customer announcements planned - so stay tuned.
I’m really looking forward to my presentation at IBM Connect this week. The conference is the perfect venue to share with the IBM ecosystem family some of the innovative real-time communications solutions that GENBAND is bringing to market. My presentation, Embedded Technology and Collaboration, takes place at 3:30 pm on February 1.

Today GENBAND announced with SAP solutions for "getting work done" which have been developed by SAP, and now enhanced with GENBAND's Kandy platform-as-a-service real-time communications features.
Last week in NYC, over a hundred entrepreneurs, developers, Fortune 500 company CIOs, artists, technologists and innovators walked the "pink carpet" and "tunnel of pink" to enter the future that is being created by the Kandy.io ecosystem.
When I joined GENBAND nearly two years ago, one of the things I really wanted to do was tell the world about the innovation that was happening within the company. Working closely with CEO David Walsh and the rest of the leadership team we came up with the idea of leveraging GENBAND’s carrier-class technology to introduce something that no one in the marketplace could match.
