Developers pride themselves in being able to make magic happen using everything from Open Source with its games engines and web frameworks, to full blown APIs and SDKS. From basic capabilities to rich enablers, whether they are found on GitHub open source or GitHub's commercial developer domain, or shared in small social circles of developers - it's really fun to "crack the code." 

Back in early nineties, straight out of college, I began working on Wall Street building trading floor technology and trying to keep up with the growth of the public markets and innovation in platforms. In my early twenties, I was charged with engineering and evolving sophisticated trader voice applications, connecting thousands of participants – buyers, sellers, brokers, banks and, of course, exchanges.

MWC is probably the largest and most important mobile conference in the industry and I can’t tell you how excited I am to get what is going to be an awesome week under way. We have a great show planned with tons of customer and partner meetings and briefings with media and analysts from all over the world. It’s no secret we are in the middle of a mobile revolution. There’s a mobile app we can download to our smartphones designed to make just about any activity in our modern lives more convenient, more productive or more organized. Or more connected to our friends, family, colleagues … and the world in general!

In the past, the audiences and market challenges of two significant industry events – Mobile World Congress (MWC) and Enterprise Connect (EC) – rarely intersected. Traditionally, MWC is dominated by global mobile operators talking to vendors in booths that are sometimes as large as several football fields.

As our team prepares for what I know will be an amazing week at Mobile World Congress, I cannot express how excited I am about all of the great things happening at GENBAND.  Not only do we have an awesome new booth design with a great location in Hall 2 of the Congress, but our sales team is ready to welcome many of our customers and partners and our executives will be sharing lots of exciting news with media and analysts throughout the show.

Today GENBAND announced it is planning to establish the world’s first neutral exchange making it possible for Communication Service Providers (CSPs) to participate on a massive scale in the fast-growing multimedia messaging industry, by bringing their subscribers a more fun, more intuitive, and more powerful experience than all the “OTT” challengers put together.
